Germany hints when COVID-19 vaccine will be available globally

The German authorities says a vaccine for coronavirus would not be available globally sooner than the middle of 2021.

Evaluation Minister Anja Karliczek talked about this in Berlin on Tuesday.

He acknowledged that it was very important to ensure that a vaccine is environment friendly and safe.


“We will not deviate from this line in Germany and Europe,” Dpa quoted the official as saying.

The treatment would be voluntarily examined on 1000’s of volunteers.

Germany has launched a €750 million fund to assist vaccine builders.
